At Outdoor Adventure Center you will find some of the best instruction in the Northwest. Our Instructors are not only passionate about what they teach, they also are held to standards that go above and beyond the nation’s current industry standards.
Locally, nationally and internationally trained, our team of instructors come from various walks of life carrying with them years of experience based upon a solid foundations in the public service, medical, rescue, cooking, & teaching fields.
The Outdoor Adventures, (OA), team of instructors are certified by ACA as Adaptive Kayak, Whitewater Kayak, Whitewater Rafting, & Coastal Open Water Sea Kayaking instructors. Our team of instructors are internationally trained by WKI sea kayak guides and Rescue 3 swift water rescue technicians, Advanced Wilderness First Aid & CPR, Life Guarding, WFR, EMT, and Nursing.
Outdoor Adventures has trained hundreds of individuals in all age groups the basic, intermediate, and advanced skills that are need to pursue fun and safe outdoor experiences.

The guides at Outdoor Adventures are focused on making your sea kayaking experience spectacular! From serving you delicious meals on the seashore to guiding you to incredible views of marine life, sunsets, and meteor showers, our guides are focused on you. They have the patience and knowledge to answer your questions and help you learn at your own speed.
Qualifications
Each of our guides are certified in advanced wilderness first aid and CPR and go through a thorough Outdoor Adventures training at the beginning of each season. Many of our guides are also trained through the Wilderness Kayak Insitute (WKI), certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA) as Flat and Open Water Instructors, seasoned river guides, and hold swift- water rescue certificates. We hire people who love the wilderness, who are enthusiastic and fun, and who will compassionately teach others the skills they need to know.
